Fee Schedule

At Central Coast Estate Administration, we provide a range of fiduciary services with a fee structure that reflects the complexity and professional expertise required. Our hourly rates are tiered as follows:

Principal Fiduciary Services

$150 - $200 per hour

This rate applies to services personally provided by the licensed fiduciary, including but not limited to:

  • Asset and investment management

  • Tax-related matters and coordination with CPAs

  • Financial strategy and reporting

  • Court filings and legal compliance reviews

  • Complex trust and estate administration decisions

Case Management Services

$50 - $100 per hour

This rate applies to services performed by qualified support staff or case managers under the direction of the fiduciary, such as:

  • Scheduling medical or care services

  • Coordinating with residential care providers

  • Monitoring benefits and insurance

  • Preparing basic correspondence and updates

  • Routine administrative and clerical support

Travel Time

Billed at the applicable hourly rate, depending on the person performing the travel (Principal or Case Manager).

Minimum Billing Increment

All time is billed in 6-minute increments (0.1 hours).

Reimbursable Expenses

Out-of-pocket costs such as postage, filing fees, mileage, and certified mail will be billed separately at actual cost or IRS-approved rates.

Probate Administration

Probate Code §10810: For the purposes of this section, the value of the estate accounted for by the personal representative is the total amount of the appraisal of property in the inventory, plus gains over the appraisal value on sales, plus receipts, less losses from the appraisal value on sales, without reference to encumbrances or other obligations on estate property.

  • 4% of the first $100,000

  • 3% of the next $100,000

  • 2% of the next $800,000

  • 1% of the next $9,000,000

  • 0.5% of the next $15,000,000

  • Court determines reasonable amount after $25,000,000

In addition to statutory fees, extraordinary fees may be requested under Probate Code §10811 for services like tax issues, real property sales, and litigation. These fees are billed at the $200 per hour.

Third-Party Costs

All third-party expenses, such as legal fees, accounting services, real estate commissions, appraisals, and other professional costs, will be paid directly from the estate or trust assets.
These expenses are separate from Central Coast Estate Administration’s service fees and will be clearly disclosed and documented.

This fee schedule is subject to adjustment with one month written notice.
